Precision Pro 2 battery: charging, runtime and care

PRECISION PRO 2 · CHARGING AND BATTERY
Updated 30 October 2026
A shaver ready when you need it. Keep your routine simple with a few good habits: charge in a dry place, read the minutes on the display and recharge before the next shave.
This guide covers the GroomSkull® Precision Pro 2, the same shaver supplied in the Pro 2, Pro 2+ and Pro 2 Elite sets. It follows the illustrated manual.
* Depending on the head and use. The display gives an estimate of time remaining.
01Charge your shaver in four steps
- Choose a dry place. Your hands, shaver and connector must be dry. Keep the cable and power supply away from water.
- Connect the supplied cable. Connect it to the shaver, then to a compliant 5 V / 1 A USB power supply. A compatible wall adapter, computer port or car adapter can be used. Never use a damaged cable.
- Fully charge before first use. Allow about 1 hr 30 min. The display changes during charging.
- Wait for “FULL 90 min”, then unplug. Do not leave the shaver connected longer than necessary.
The built-in Li-ion battery is rated at 3.7 V / 600 mAh. The shaver’s rated power is 5 W. These specifications are separate from its 5 V / 1 A USB power supply.
02Understand the display
The numbers show minutes, not a battery percentage. A reading of 90 is an estimate of the time available; it does not mean 90% charge.

Remaining runtime
Estimated time available, up to 90 minutes depending on the head and use.

Very low battery
Recharge promptly. Plan ahead at 15 to 20 minutes.
Plug symbol
Shown during charging. Always connect in a dry place.
Charging complete
When “FULL 90 min” appears, unplug the cable.
The symbols above are taken from the manual. For the padlock, tap and protection alert, see pages 12 and 13 of the full manual.
03Recharge at the right time
- Frequent shaving: plan to recharge below 15 minutes remaining.
- Occasional shaving: recharge below 20 minutes.
- Shaver not in use: recharge at least once a month. Do not store it with an empty battery.
Short top-ups suit the Li-ion battery. There is no need to drain it completely before plugging in. Check the available runtime before a trip.
04Keep water and charging apart
For shower use, wet shaving or rinsing, always unplug the cable. Keep the cable and power supply dry and away from water. The body’s IPX6 rating does not permit immersion.
Use while charging is possible only for dry shaving, away from water. If the battery is empty, let it charge for a while first.
Charge and store between 5 and 35 °C, away from sunlight and heat sources. Slight warmth during charging can occur.
Unusual heat, an unusual smell or a deformed casing: stop use and charging. Do not open the body or battery, and contact Support before trying again.
05Store your shaver and prepare for a trip
- Let it dry. Store in a dry place between 5 and 35 °C, without pressure on the foils.
- Activate the travel lock. Hold the button for about 3 seconds. Repeat to unlock.
- Protect it in your luggage. Use GroomBox™ if you have one, once the shaver is dry. Keep up the monthly recharge if the shaver remains unused.
At end of life, take the shaver and its built-in battery to an electrical waste collection point. Never put them in household waste or remove the battery yourself.
06Charging or runtime problems?
The shaver will not turn on
Hold the button for about 3 seconds to check the travel lock. Then check charging with the supplied cable and a 5 V / 1 A USB power supply, in a dry place. Unplug, then try once with the head correctly fitted.
It does not seem to charge
Check the socket, power supply and cable connection. The connector must be dry and the cable undamaged. Do not scrape the socket with a metal object. If it still will not charge, contact Support.
It has not been charged for a long time
If the shaver is intact and shows no signs of a fault, charge in a dry place for 15 to 30 minutes, then check the display. If nothing happens, contact Support. Do not open the shaver.
It switches off while the display still shows minutes
Note the display and circumstances. Switch off, unplug, then check that the head is clean and correctly fitted. If the shaver is intact and cool, charge normally. If the shutdown happens again, contact Support.
You do not have to diagnose the problem yourself. Email support@groomskull.com or use our help page. Include your order number, the model, the head used and what the display shows. A clear photo or short video helps the team understand the issue.
The shaver has a standard 3-year warranty, including the battery, also available with a one-time purchase. Support will assess your situation and confirm the available assistance. The lifetime warranty linked to the Ritual is separate and subject to its conditions: read the GroomSkull® warranties.
