🔋 How to properly use your GroomSkull® razor battery (Li-ion)
Share
Your GroomSkull® razor is equipped with a high-performance Li-ion battery that offers power, autonomy, and longevity. To extend its lifespan and ensure optimal performance with every shave, here are our simple tips, suitable for all types of users.
📦 First charge
Before first use, fully charge your razor (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes ) until the screen displays “FULL 90 min” . This optimizes the battery from the start.
🔁 Charging frequency depends on your usage
👉 Heavy user (frequent shaving)
- Recharge as soon as the battery life drops below 15 minutes.
- Avoid waiting until the razor is completely flat (5 min or less).
- Recharging after each shave is no problem with Li-ion batteries.
👉 Occasional user (1 to 2 times per week)
- Remember to recharge as soon as the battery life drops below 20 minutes.
- Recharge the razor at least once a month even if it is not in use.
👉 Occasional use (travel or infrequent shaving)
- Before long-term storage, recharge to 50–70%.
- Recharge every 1 to 2 months to avoid deep discharges.
- Never leave an empty razor without a charge for several weeks.
🚫 Absolutely avoid
- Do not leave the razor plugged in longer than necessary after a full charge.
- Do not expose it to extreme temperatures (cold < 5°C or heat > 35°C).
- Use only a certified 5V USB charger (smartphone, car or computer type).
💡 Bonus tips
- The razor can be used while charging (via USB).
- If the razor seems “dead” after a long time without charging, plug it into the charger for 15 to 30 minutes without interruption.
- Clean the shaving head regularly to preserve the motor and battery.
⏳ Battery life
A well-maintained Li-ion battery can last for several years . It doesn't suffer from the memory effect, but it is susceptible to prolonged periods of discharge. A simple monthly recharge is enough to extend its lifespan.
